ok..working in Marriot..is good..but tiring. I've met many people from different countries and some became my friends.:-) In Marriot, this month buffet includes Arabian food..and a Lebanese Chef from Lebanon is now in Singapore..I've seen him a few times..and we hang out before..he's funny.haha.and now he is my buddy! haha..One must know him to see the"childish side" of him.

Yesterday, i made some frens with an italian and german couple. I was chatting with them while at work..very nice people. They are also associates from Marriot in Spain. thats really cool..
Its cool to see people from the same company in different countries...well i hope to travel like them some day.

The weather is bad these days.Many of my classmates from different hotels are on MC..i saw them online..
Me, i'm getting sick too..i've got a sore throat and an ulcer.
I pray i recover soon.

SonicFest is jus a few days away! This week i'm in the afternoon shift...i've told my manager abt my shift to be able to make it for SF. He told me i got to find someone to take my shift..exchange shift. Till now..i haven found anyone..Please keep me in prayers..cos...i got to be at Sonic Fest...i am involved and have work to do.

It is open to all..anyone can present their art work for exhibiton..photography, arts, designs, graphics etc...and its free!! but of course there are some requirements..well..its a good opporuntity..i wanna try..photography...hehe..Who knows..someone might like your work and will buy it from you..jus quote the price. haha..

Life at the Marriot

Alright...so far..everything is going smoothly at the marriot....well..because God has been faithful. The people are so friendly too and work is getting fun.

Today busy..weekends...and one of the plates trolley went missing..but we found it hidden behind a wall.and then i have to count all the dinner plates in the restaurant!!! tough work man....total got 1123 dinner plates!!! just enough. :-)

Tomorrow got church..miss Sonuc Edge ppl too..will see them tml..alright i tired..shall blog again..

Oh by the way...People who loves to eat..tell me...cos i got great discounts of buffet and ala carte menus..hehe...

Actually..the service industry (specifically F&B) is not that bad. Its jus people with high expectations...becos service can be delivered best only by humans.
At my work place..its about providing quality service in the shortest time possible..its a challenge which i am learning to achieve. My work place is a place where people from different conutries come together to work as a team...My buddy is a Philipino, name is Marilyn. I really respect her...she is patient, kind, friendly....glad to have her as my buddy...someone whom i can relate and rely on.
Oh the Philipinos are also students on attachment..degree students..but i really don't understand they cant be expose to other departments but only in F&B..although they are doing the same course as me..and they have to pay their agency an amount each month for whatever reasons.
But yet, they are still happy working in the Marriot Cafe...working with the right work attitude...that makes me respect them! and wanna learn from them


A short prayer which i think is nescesary..

Lord, I thank you for everything u have done..God protect me and my friends at work from danger..and give us strength to be able to get job done..especially the super hot plates with heavy trays and plates...well its a serious matter and we don't want to spill anything on any guests. Please Lord also give us the wisdom to do things right..and also allow the chefs and managers to be understandable...i pray all these in Jesus name..Amen.
